    Ruth Buzzi was born on July 24, 1936 in Westerly, Rhode Island to Rena Pauline and Angelo Peter Buzzi, the latter a renowned stone sculptor associated with Westerly's famed granite industry. Her father owned Buzzi Memorials. Known for her comedy routines on the 1960s variety show Rowan & Martin's Laugh In (1967), Ruth Buzzi studied dance, vocals, and acting at the Pasadena Playhouse for the Performing Arts, enrolling when she was just seventeen.   6. De Ormand "Tuss" McLaughry (1893-1974)

    Tuss McLaughry, 1893-1974, was the famed coach of Brown University's "Iron Man" team of 1926. "Tuss" coached at Amherst for thirty-five years, then at Brown, and Dartmouth. He was President of the American Football Coaches Association, and the long-time Secretary of that organization.   8. Archibald & Ida Silverman (1880-1966)

    Archibald Silverman, 1880-1967, was a Providence jewelry manufacturer, and civic leader for many years; his wife, Ida Silverman was a crusader for the establishment of the State of Israel and played an important role in fund-raising for Rhode Island hospitals. The Silvermans aided in building nearly one hundred synagogues throughout the world.

    Archibald Silverman was born on March 5, 1880 in Russia and immigrated to the United States when ten years old. In 1897, along with his brother Charles, he started Silverman Brothers, a jewelry manufacturing company in Providence in which Archibald would be involved for the next fifty-eight years.
